Job Description
Company Description

It all started with an idea at Block in 2013. Initially built to take the pain out of peer-to-peer payments, Cash App has gone from a simple product with a single purpose to a dynamic ecosystem, developing unique financial products, including Afterpay/Clearpay, to provide a better way to send, spend, invest, borrow and save to our 47 million monthly active customers. We want to redefine the world’s relationship with money to make it more relatable, instantly available, and universally accessible.

Today, Cash App has thousands of employees working globally across office and remote locations, with a culture geared toward innovation, collaboration and impact. We’ve been a distributed team since day one, and many of our roles can be done remotely from the countries where Cash App operates. No matter the location, we tailor our experience to ensure our employees are creative, productive, and happy.

Cash’s Health Identity Platform is the underpinning of all of Cash App’s products. We strive to deliver a world-class identity verification service responsible for foundational data models, APIs, and building an intuitive UX for all Cash customers and tooling to enable internal stakeholders to support our customers better. Our services help teams ship product features rapidly while balancing the rigor and safety expected from a consumer financial platform.

As a Product Manager for the Identity team, you will be responsible for driving initiatives from inception through execution. You’ll look to creatively expand access to Cash’s suite of products and work with other Cash product teams and third-party partners to identify opportunities to consolidate and improve our capabilities to help all our teams go faster. You will collaborate with peer product managers, engineers, data scientists, designers, marketing, compliance, counsel and other cross-functional team members to ensure that our platform can support products that amaze and delight. This is an exciting opportunity to work on new services that will help maximize financial access to millions around the world.

You Will:

  • Ideation: Work closely with Health engineers and engineering managers to promote the most relevant ideas into features
  • Evangelization: Represent the team with partners and senior company leaders to align resources and prioritization
  • Communication: Distill key developments, updates, and problems to teams (both technical and non-technical) in other disciplines and cross functional partners
  • Vision: Lead product strategy, planning, scoping, and prioritization of projects to achieve all of our goals.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross functional team members across multiple time zones including Melbourne, AU and the four major US time zones
  • Define Success: Tie objectives back to business metrics, that you will help define and champion for your product
  • Roadmapping: Gather and use feedback and insights from customers and developers across multiple markets to improve your product experience and business performance

Qualifications

You Have:

  • Experience working with 3rd party partners, Compliance, and Legal
  • 8+ years of product management experience
  • Proven ability to provide direction and rally a team on the highest priority problem to solve
  • Analytical and metrics driven work style
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Writing skills that lead with data and showcase brevity
  • Excellent prioritization and stakeholder management skills
  • Track record of advocating for collaborative solutions with a diverse group of partners
  • Comfort in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Proven record of shipping high-quality products at scale
  • Excellent organization skills
  • A hunger to tackle complicated and impactful product & business problems
  • Prior experience working on a platform team or in a role where you were responsible for the success of a larger ecosystem of products, ideally in the identity space, including demonstrated knowledge of best practices and industry
