Procurement Buyer Jobs

HARIBO is currently hiring! Reporting to the Sr. Director of Commercial & Procurement, the Procurement Buyer recommends and develops strategic purchasing initiatives in the assigned area. Responsibilities include forecasting internal customer needs, sourcing solutions, providing cost-benefit analysis, and leading the RFP processes, including results driven, contract negotiations. The Procurement Buyer serves as a liaison between vendors and internal customers, creating transparent and productive working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Generate monthly reports and identify areas for cost containment/reductions in all areas of ownership as it relates to purchasing
• Manage the end-to-end strategic sourcing process including sourcing new vendors, data and market analysis, strategy development, pricing negotiations and contract review.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to develop scope of work and bid documents for RFPs, serving as the system expert and providing coaching and support as necessary
• Maintain confidential company information and filing system for purchases and correspondence documents
• Manage the entire contract lifecycle, including drafting the agreement, issue resolution, negotiating terms and prices, and approving and executing the final signed contract
• Other duties as assigned
• Continuously develop and optimize supplier relationships to gather information in an effort to source the best quality materials at the optimum price at proper lead-times to meet business requirements
• Perform cost benefit analysis and determine opportunities for savings, project efficiency, and strategic sourcing initiatives
• Conduct day-to-day purchasing for multiple departments in accordance to HARIBO’s policies and procedures
• Identify smarter solutions for optimizing processes, while reducing costs cross functionally
• Develop long-term partnerships with world-class suppliers to source both indirect and direct materials while establishing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers for RFIs and RFPs

Qualification

• Minimum of 3 years of buying experience required; preferably within a CPG, Food & Beverage, Snacking or Confectionary company
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field is required
• Understanding of principles of purchasing related to packaging (i.e. corrugate and film) is required
• SAP experience is required; Preferably the SAP S4 Hana Purchasing module
• Experience with Microsoft Office – Word, Power Point, Access and intermediate to Advance Excel skills
• Understanding of procurement trends and legal terms as they relate to purchasing contracts and framework agreements
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight turnaround times for deliverables
• Ability to partner with people at all levels of the organization is required
• Strong communication, interpersonal, influencing and analytical skills are required
