Global Procurement Operations Manager, Leadership Role (Buyer Team), Supplier Setup and PO Issuance Focus

About This Job


This position is responsible for managing a team of buyers globally who process transactional Ariba P2P (Procure to Pay) activities, including supplier setup and PO issuance. The role can be involved in special projects to support M&A activities and system implementations and upgrades. The individual will work closely with accounts payable, accounting, technology, and audit/compliance teams who support our procure-to-pay process.


The role is also responsible for establishing buying guidelines and ensuring policy compliance. This role requires the incumbent to demonstrate leadership and communication skills and the ability to lead others.


Responsibilities


  • Daily reports on PO status and work with team to resolve, redirect and action
  • Analyze large data sets effectively, identify process improvement solutions, and formulate recommendations
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with Technology, Audit, Operations, and Finance
  • Close alignment with the Sourcing team, ensuring contracted and sourced suppliers are utilized in the P2P system
  • Ensure and monitor efficiency and proper utilization of NIQ’s Procurement Operations systems and process
  • Train and support of new and existing users with process, technology, or policy areas
  • Support complex, strategic projects
  • Periodic reporting of operational activities as well as compliance metrics
  • Balance workload of global team and provide backup support if needed
  • Assists the AP department with Invoice and PO reconciliation issues for on time payment
  • Ensure organizational goals, including budget, savings, and supplier performance measures, are met. Identify strategies to reduce expense through usage of existing suppliers and agreements
  • Assist with the evaluation of supplier payment terms and determine how most favorable terms can be systemized
  • Find opportunities for continuous improvement evaluating the technology or support team
  • Be aware of supply chain policies and processes and be able to explain the rules and guidelines to internal customers


Qualifications


  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with a track record of meeting and exceeding goals and objectives preferred
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, Ariba (P2P), PowerBI and Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong follow-up skills: ability to organize applicable timelines and follow up with customer needs
  • Has demonstrated the ability to lead others as well as having the necessary leadership qualities to train, motivate and inspire colleagues within the same team
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Sourcing, Procurement or Marketing certifications a plus
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively
  • Proven experience in building and sustaining positive relationships
  • Able to lead across a global organization and align towards positive results
  • Self-motivated; self-starter; extremely proactive; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions
  • Strong track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with internal customers
  • Ability to work with functional groups and different level of employees throughout the organization to achieve results effectively and professionally
  • Ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment
