This position can be 100% virtual from any US state or the candidate can work hybrid from one of the following Northrop Grumman locations: Aurora, Linthicum, Rolling Meadows, Fairfax, El Segundo, San Diego or Woodland Hills. Candidate may be required to travel up to 10% of time to support domestic business and hiring events.

What You’ll Get to Do:

As a Talent Acquisition Business Partner with Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation by directly impacting the quality of candidates we hire through recruiting top quality talent and building strategic and meaningful partnerships with our internal customers, all while leveraging agile recruitment methodologies. This will entail:

  • Tracking day-to-day sourcing activity in applicant tracking and candidate relationship management systems.
  • Leveraging professional network to recruit candidates for active requisitions.
  • Using social networking mediums (i.e. LinkedIn groups and other online forums) to promote employment brand messaging that drives traffic to open roles by establishing and promoting positive relationships.
  • Cultivating relationships with key candidates and specific talent pools, (defined according to long-term initiatives and direction of the organization) to turn applicants from non-active to active by developing strong executive candidate relationships.
  • Partnering with hiring managers to understand the hiring need and building targeted recruiting strategies to attract diverse talent.
  • Sourcing candidates from a variety of sources, with a strong emphasis on LinkedIn, Hiretual, Indeed, Clearancejobs.com, social media, and search engines: Google Chrome, Google X-ray, advanced Boolean searching strings and niche job boards.
  • Researching market conditions and industry trends as it relates to our competitors to assist in decision-making and marketing position.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of recruiting experience; or a Master’s and 4+ years of applicable work experience is required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
  • Documented social media savviness with extensive online networks
  • Demonstrated history of partnering and engaging with hiring managers and establishing credibility with extensive business acumen
  • Documented experience recruiting for cleared talent in the DoD/Aerospace market
  • Experience with recruiting diverse, technical talent across various engineering, manufacturing, and other disciplines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated record of being able to pivot and switch priorities while supporting various organizations
  • Experience utilizing an agile framework and methodologies

This position reports to Unknown, VA, USA, however, you are able to work from any of the additional 7 locations listed above.



Salary Range: $78,500 USD - $129,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
