Acquisition Associate Jobs

Position Summary:

Do you have a passion for commercial real estate?

We are looking an Associate to join our team and assist with all facets of property acquisitions. This

position will be multi-disciplinary and support a variety of leaders and business units at our Alexandria, VA headquarters.

Our ideal candidate will have 3-4+ years of experience working on a team that

specializes in multifamily acquisitions. They are passionate about real estate,

have a voracious appetite for learning new things, and enjoy a goal-driven,

fast paced environment. Time management skill set will include the ability to

work independently without significant, direct supervision and handle multiple

projects simultaneously and prioritize as needed. Critical thinkers and problem

solvers, these team members can comfortably shift focus as needed. Positive

attitude a must.

What You Will Do:

Support the Acquisitions Team in all efforts to source and acquire properties that

achieve the company's risk/reward profile and deliver.

· Maintain, refine, and compare financial models and provide analytical support to Acquisitions Team.

· Coordinate and review the work of a variety of internal and external teams including attorneys, surveyors, title companies, lenders, third party subject matters experts and vendors, and internal staff to meet deadlines and goals of project business plans.

· Manage adherence to project milestones in due diligence and effectively manage acquisition deal pipeline.

· Communicate with sellers and brokers for potential investment leads

· Assist in identifying acquisition opportunities and request financial materials for underwriting purposes

· Accurately prepare initial letters of intent

· Conduct research and prepare reports for initial investment analysis and during due diligence.

· Problem solve and anticipate future potential issues.

· Other responsibilities as assigned.

Who You Are:

· Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, or related field

· 3-4+ years working an acquisitions team in the commercial real estate industry, ideally concentrating on multifamily acquisitions

· Desire to learn and grow in the commercial real estate industry

· High technical competence and the ability to pick up on new software quickly.

. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, data analysis, and online research

· Ability to independently manage a wide variety of projects at the same time; Ability to

analyze large quantities of data and summarize relevant information

· Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and are proactive, resourceful and

detail oriented

· Competitive work ethic with ability to adapt to change quickly and succeed in a fast-paced,

dynamic environment
