Job Description

The Pricing & Inventory Specialist is the media mix expert on the front lines with our digital Sales organization. They work within the Revenue Operations team, executing the yield strategies with our internal teams. They will be the expert on our pricing and inventory, using their deep understanding of campaign delivery to help guide internal Sales/Account teams on what makes a healthy deal for the company and our advertising clients. This includes deal analysis, campaign optimizations, packaging, and rate card development.
Individuals in this role should be proactive, thinking around corners, and excited to collaborate to drive results for the company.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Identify opportunities for increased efficiencies in our internal operations - this could include new reporting, automation or outsourcing to drive the delivery of insights faster to the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Planning and Ad Ops teams to escalate issues and aid in troubleshooting for campaigns post launch. Review and approve campaign performance optimizations in the order management systems.
  • Analyze media plans for pricing and monetization strategy; help the teams hold the line in regards to business rules and rates. We want to maintain healthy margins and overall deal health within the guidelines provided by our Finance team.
  • Keep up to speed on monetization trends across the larger Yield team. Represent these trends and insights in the course of business to help educate and inform stakeholders on our business dynamics.
  • Work collaboratively with Account team to provide real-time solutions for campaigns in both pre and post sales. Develop a deep understanding of client needs in the marketplace to inform future packaging strategies.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Experience using publisher digital ad technologies like order management systems (ie, Operative, FatTail Adbook, etc.) and ad servers (ie, Google AdManager, FreeWheel.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; familiarity with basic financial concepts required.
  • Initiative to identify and solve problems independently
  • Attention to detail; well-developed communication skills
  • 2+ years of professional experience in the media or advertising industry
  • Excellent personal time-management and project planning skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Ability to prioritize assigned tasks for completion within required time frame
  • Proven ability to operate strategically as the situation demands; results oriented
Base Salary: $61,000 - $75,000
