Job Description

The Swedish Times (theswedishtimes.se), a new project by CW1 (cw1.com), in conjunction with our parent company, CW1, is seeking an experienced, savvy, and results-driven PR and SEO Specialist (outsource or hired). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic Public Relations and SEO strategies that increase our digital footprint, improve our domain authority, attract a more significant number of daily readers to our project, and boost the relevance and discoverability of CW1. This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and desires to make a real impact in the digital world.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and execute successful SEO strategies for The Swedish Times and CW1, improving our organic search visibility and driving more targeted web traffic.
  2. Conduct thorough SEO audits and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and devise innovative strategies to capitalize on them.
  3. Carry out on-page and off-page SEO activities, including link building, to improve our sites' ranking in SERPs and enhance our domain authority.
  4. Coordinate with our editorial and marketing teams to optimize content for SEO in line with our tone, style, and target audience.
  5. Implement and manage tracking and reporting systems to monitor SEO performance and measure ROI.
  6. Develop, execute, and manage public relations strategies that enhance our brands' reputation and visibility in the market.
  7. Cultivate relationships with key media outlets, journalists, influencers, and industry professionals to promote our brands and increase our reach.
  8. Draft and distribute engaging, timely, and relevant press releases, articles, and other PR materials to generate positive publicity.
  9. Monitor, analyze, and report on PR and SEO results on a regular basis, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as a PR and SEO specialist or similar role in the digital marketing field.
  3. Familiarity with SEO/PR tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz, Cision) and techniques.
  4. Proficient in MS Office and web publishing tools.
  5. Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Swedish.
  6. Strong understanding of the latest SEO/PR trends and best practices.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  8. Detail-oriented, creative, and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.


Candidates should be prepared to present a portfolio or case studies showcasing their expertise and achievements in PR and SEO. The ability to demonstrate concrete examples of how their efforts have led to improved online visibility and audience growth will be a major plus.
