Postdoctoral Researcher Jobs

The Saito Lab is currently recruiting highly motivated post-doctoral fellows to participate in research and training in liver metabolic diseases, viral disease, bacterial infectious disease, macrophage biology, and antiviral immunity. Applicant must be Ph.D., M.D., D.V.M., or equivalent degree with a background in the biological sciences.

Responsibilities

Research in the field of liver disease (e.g. metabolic liver disease, viral hepatitis, liver inflammation, and hepatic immunity) under PI’s guidance.

Qualifications

Qualification for the role

- Education: Ph.D. degree in related fields such as Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Organic Chemistry, Biotechnology, Medical Sciences, etc.

- Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience in post doctorial research in related fields.

- Publications: At least 2 research papers as a first author, and 2 or more as co-author.

- Language: English (native/fully professional level)

- Team player with great interpersonal characteristics.

- Ability to work for at least 5 years.

Core Skills:

- Hardworking, creative and highly self-motivated

- Strong foundational knowledge and learning ability in science and a high level of interest in the field of liver disease

- Critical thinker with ability to execute decisions and ideas

- Significant technical skills in molecular biology, in vitro and in vivo experiments (mouse), biochemistry, protein assay (Western Blotting, Immunoprecipitation, gel analysis), nucleic acids (DNA and RNA such as cloning, PCR, RT-QPCR, RNA synthesis, transfection, extraction, gene overexpression/silencing), and microscopic analysis (immune fluorescent staining, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), light microscopy and image analysis and processing).
