Description
STV seeks a Planner to be based out of our New York City office and support our Center for Excellence. This is an outstanding opportunity for an innovative and strategic professional to learn how to prepare and deliver resilience and sustainability-focused planning, environmental, engineering, and project management insights while influencing decisions by clients and managers alike.
The Planner is responsible for:
- Working with practice and corporate leadership, focusing on client development, business development and industry participation.
- Successfully delivering studies, sustainable strategies, analysis of green design features, performance monitoring systems, and climate resilience assessments for multi-discipline projects with high degrees of technical complexity.
- Managing diverse and complex discipline-specific work tasks requiring extensive planning, facilitation, communication, and management skills.
- Coordinating state and local agency reviews and implementing agency strategies. Developing and nurturing key client relationships while leveraging existing client relationships for future work opportunities.
- Developing grant or other funding strategies for clients. Lead teams in the research and evaluation of potential funding opportunities, benefit-cost analyses, coordination of grant applications, and adherence to specific grant criteria and guidelines.
What you need:
- Bachelors or Master of Science degree in planning, engineering, or similar curriculum
- Willingness to learn in an active environment with the ability to reproduce the results of those lessons in a timely manner,
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
