Planner Jobs

This role is on the Utility Integration team in the Reedy Creek Energy Services (RCES) organization. RCES Cast Members work on behalf of the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) designing, operating, and maintaining CFTOD-owned utility systems across the Walt Disney World (WDW) Resort. The Planner will have responsibilities including contractual processes, purchasing, and accounts payable. This person will ensure CFTOD and WDW contract procedures are being adhered to for contract development, bid and award, change orders, invoicing, and contract payment applications.

This role reports to the RCES Warehouse and Contracts Administration Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and modify contracts to ensure accurate funding and durations are maintained for contracts and service agreements.
• Manage costs by reviewing and timely processing of invoices and contract payment applications while also researching financial discrepancies.
• Issue Intent To Bids, Request For Proposal, and Request For Quote packages to support project management and operations.
• Supplier Identification- identify potential suppliers through research, market analysis, and leveraging existing vendor relationships.
• Review change orders to ensure reasonable and accurate amounts for approval.
• Ensure timely processing of Request For Information (RFI), issuance of field directives, development of cost estimates with engineering and consultants, conversion to change orders, and obtaining appropriate change order approval.
• Initiation of contracts, work authorizations, and change orders with associated supporting documentation.
• Attend Pre-Bid/Post-Bid meetings as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Demonstrated knowledge of construction processes, purchasing, and contract management.
• Effective communication and facilitation skills
• Effective in relationship building with teams, sub-contractors, and vendors
• Prior experience in Engineering, Construction, Contract Management, Project Management, or utility operations.
• Outstanding organizational and planning skills
• Ability to multitask

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience with estimating and bidding processes.
• Four years of applicable experience in Engineering, Construction, Contract Management, Project Management, or utility operations.

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Management, Project Management, or applicable related profession.
