Job Description

As a Personal Concierge, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care, support, and assistance to individuals living with dementia and their loved ones. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being and quality of life for clients by assisting them in providing white glove concierge personal assistant services.
Responsibilities:
Provide Person-Centered Care:
  • Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for clients, taking into account their cognitive abilities and limitations.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of each client's needs, preferences, and individual history to provide personalized support.
Social Engagement and Companionship:
  • Engage in meaningful conversations, actively listen, and provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing environment that promotes a sense of belonging and reduces anxiety and distress.
  • Transport clients to social and other activities.
  • Encourage social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and participation in appropriate activities to enhance their well-being and quality of life.
Promote Physical Wellness:
  • Promote physical activity and exercise consistent with unique physical abilities.
  • Maintain accurate medication records and ensure timely refills.
  • Maintain calendar of medical appointments.
Safety and Risk Management:
  • Respond promptly and effectively to non-medical emergencies, following established protocols and seeking assistance as necessary.
  • Develop and update an emergency preparedness plan in case of fire, earthquake, or other disaster.
  • Maintain a safe environment for clients by identifying potential hazards and mitigating them.

Documentation and Reporting:
  • Prepare and submit reports on clients' progress, concerns, and incidents to the relevant parties in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care activities, observations, and any significant changes in behavior or health.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Coordinate with various vendors as projects arise
  • Establish communication cadence and adapt style to meet individual and loved ones’ needs
  • Identify need for referrals to services including, but not limited to home care and fiduciary services and collaborate with involved providers
  • Notify providers/vendors of hospitalization/travel/etc to pause services
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working with individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards and ethical guidelines.
  • Knowledge of dementia care techniques, person-centered approaches, and understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with dementia.
  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to provide compassionate care to individuals with cognitive impairments.
  • College degree or relevant experience; additional education or training in healthcare or dementia care is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Basic understanding of medication management and familiarity with common medications used for dementia.
Working Conditions:
  • The position may require working irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on client needs.
  • The role may involve physical tasks such as lifting, assisting with transfers, and supporting clients with mobility.
  • Work environments may vary and include private residences, assisted living facilities, or memory care units.
Compensation:
  • Range: $ 68,575 - 92,000/annual
This amount is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, nor a promise of any specific pay for any specific employee, which is always dependent on actual experience, education and other factors.
This range does not include any additional equity, benefits, or other non-monetary compensation which may be included.
