Job Description

Directly reporting to the Director, People Operations, the People Business Partner is a tactical and strategic consultant optimizing talent management, talent acquisition, performance management and employee-focused programs to enable exceptional business results. This ambassador of company culture will establish strong partnerships to guide best-in-class practices related to employee relations, talent development, diversity & inclusion and leadership succession planning. Partner with commercial people managers at all leadership levels to support internal promotions and Total Rewards related to benefits and compensation for US businesses.

Priority engagement projects will focus on the design, development and launch of essential employee programs that include, but not limited to; wellness programs, recognition programs, diversity & inclusion, and community service programs. Support annual engagement surveys, feedback sessions and action planning to drive process, system and culture improvements for overall team health.


As part of the People Operations team, the People Business Partner will collaborate with other members of the team to drive employee programs, change management activities, training and adaptation for all processes. This role will require strong partnerships to ensure our Talent Brand is clearly implemented across all communication channels, in an effort, to strengthen our Talent Brand and community identity.


CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment.
  • Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect. continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and People Operations strategy.
  • Guide leadership behaviors to improve team relationships, build morale, increase productivity and drive retention.
  • Provide coaching and solutions on matters related to employee performance and team effectiveness.
  • Coaching and mentoring at all management levels for continued performance development.
  • Work collaboratively and continually innovate to drive the right business outcomes.
  • Assist and/or oversee employee relations and investigations.
  • Build effective partnerships with business units to maintain and continue building a culture of innovation and performance excellence.
  • Ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of engagement.
  • Creating and driving effective development, employee relations, retention and reward programs.
  • Administer corporate wide initiatives designed to assess and recognize performance through bonus, merit, employee reviews (Reflektive) and other types of programs.
  • Establish regular communication cadence with all senior leadership teams and deliver agreed upon KPIs, Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and reporting.
  • Drive organizational capability through assessing talent, identifying competency gaps, following through on succession plans, and the strategic movement of people.
  • Being an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lead People Operations initiatives with minimal administrative support.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
  • Relevant HR or business Degree.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Quickly build trust and respect of the leadership team, People Operations peers, and employees.
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills including presentation and negotiation.
  • 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable laws & regulations.
  • Ongoing professional development.
