Payroll Supervisor Jobs

Flybridge Staffing is currently searching for a Payroll Supervisor for a South Florida-based client. This is a direct hire position that works off a hybrid onsite schedule. The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the daily flow of work involved in the production and closing of all US and other nearshore international payrolls in compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual accounting, State, and Federal reports.
• Maintains a working knowledge of tax laws, and company policies and procedures.
• Assist with PeopleSoft development, implementation and testing of payroll system enhancements and upgrades.
• Assist Internal Audit and ensures payroll compliance with all established controls.
• Performs accounting reconciliation of assigned accounts in accordance with company guidelines.
• Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures and communicates same to payroll staff, and company employees to ensure compliance with all established company policies.
• Responsible for training, performing, and directing the work of others involved in the payroll process. Includes data entry, verification of output, and check disbursements for multiple locations.
• Responsible for payroll and governmental reporting, and general ledger interface.
• Audits reports, payroll tax deposits, employee-related payments, and manual checks.
• Assist with the audit of payroll controls and the development of procedures to ensure compliance of designated controls.
• Supervises Payroll staff, planning, and the prioritization of projects.
• Performs monthly reconciliation of assigned accounts to company accounting records in accordance with required standards and deadlines. Work with the Controller to obtain approval as required on reconciliation matters.

Experience/Education

• Knowledge of PeopleSoft HRIS system including payroll, compensation, base benefits and human resources.
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or in a related field EXPERIENCE:
• Knowledge of Compensation laws, IRS, SSA, FLSA, and state and company requirements.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping and General Ledger procedures.
• Proficiency in the use of Excel and word processing, and MS office applications.
• Knowledge of payroll and filing procedures
• Three to five years experience supervising the processing of multiple Corporate Payrolls.
