Job Description

The accomplished Bookkeeper will be required to forecast revenues and expenditures and advise us on future budgeting, working efficiently with great attention to detail. A successful candidate will display exceptional multi-tasking skills and be organized and able to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and maintain fixed asset and prepaid schedules
  • Responsible for setting up reminders for all appropriate techs and following up on outstanding payment collections.
  • Complete job costing sheet for that project/folder.
  • Enter invoices and record payments in Quickbooks.
  • Payment Collections including process and collect funds through finance company.
  • Receive projects and verify payment.
  • Submit appropriate documents to bank, and financing company.
  • Complete close out and post projects.
  • Verify Installer task pay.
  • Ensure correct general ledger codes are used in work orders.
  • Verify all credit card payments have been processed.
  • Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation and making adjustments.
  • Send out daily report which highlights outstanding payments.
  • Produce sales reports and other company reports as needed.
  • Prepare journal entries for month-end close and reclassing entries.
  • Verify deposits and balance checks that have been received.
  • Verify FSR commission calculations and update commission calculator.
  • Reconcile transactions and accounts including the bank and intercompany accounts.
  • Assist with annual audit requests


SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and have effective time management skills
  • 4-year college degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field.
  • Good understanding of the common fiscal procedures
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Must be task-oriented and able to follow standardized work instructions
  • Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications
  • Proven experience in a high-volume environment required
  • Physically able to work seated in front of a computer for long hours at a time
  • 3- 5 years of versatile accounting experience
  • Able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
  • Problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with Quickbooks


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • May lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and type
  • Speaking and hearing ability; heavy communication through talking and listening to employees and clients directly as well as through telephone conversations to resolve issues
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
