About You:

• Thrive in and enjoy a remote work environment

• Basic understanding of fund accounting
• Skilled in Excel

• Minimum 2-4 years in a payroll role, start-up or at a school is a bonus!

About the Role:

As a School Payroll Associate, you will be at the frontlines of bookreport‘s mission to optimize school spending. Our Co-founder and CEO (Cassandra Tognoni, Forbes 30 Under 30 2016) started her career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs, and it is that level of excellence in financial services that we believe all schools deserve. With the help of our proprietary software, the School Payroll Associate will provide end-to-end back-office services for our clients relating to payroll as this is one of the most important things we do! As you use bookreport’s software and interact directly with school leaders and teachers, your unique insight into what’s working and what’s not will help shape the future of our product.

Some of the things you’ll work on:

• Submit TRS and IRS payments
• Track federal & state compliance on payroll-related items
• Optimize bookreport payroll processes and procedures
• Run payroll for a few school's
• Perform payroll data reconciliations
