Parkway Transportation Driver Manager

: Job Summary: Supervises non-exempt and lower level exempt Partners. Oversees a tactical team engaged in leading the day-to-day efforts of the department.
Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary:

• Applies specialized subject matter knowledge to routine and moderately complex issues
• Manages the tracking/monitoring of all inbound/outbound activity and reports service levels across areas weekly
• Creates and executes Partners work schedules balancing partner needs with business needs
• Supervises the inbound/outbound planning process to include cost effectiveness of daily load plans and service level commitments
• Participates in special projects as assigned and offers support to peers as needed
• Supports positive partner relations environment by assisting partners resolve concerns and giving timely and consistent feedback
• Acts as a point of escalation for Partner issues
• Identifying opportunities to reduce cost and improve revenues
• Escalates issues where precedent has not been established
• Provides expertise to departmental teams and participates in cross-departmental (plant or store) initiatives
• Provides partners technical training, coaching and development opportunities
• Initiates job requisitions, sources and interviews
• Utilizes thorough (career) level of knowledge to routine and moderately complex issues
• Monitors and executes planning process to ensure department budget goals are being met. Tracks activity to analyze for projections, forecasting and budgeting
• Working knowledge of contractual agreements and the impact to department goals

Education and Experience preferred

• Bachelor's degree or 1-3 years of related experience
• Minimum 1-year transportation experience
