Outside Sales Representative
New York City and Long Island

Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Outside Sales Representative is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Assist in providing sales documentation
  • Ensure adequate, cost-effective sales coverage of all existing accounts and the development of new accounts / increase market share
  • Maintain and communicate accurate data to Operations Manager
  • Create quotes in collaboration with Operations Manager
  • Coordinate with customers on service and demos, as needed
  • Coordinate with Inside Sales Rep on lead generation and progress of inside sales
  • Successfully sell, rent, and lease Trimble equipment or any other SITECH products
  • Build and develop relationships with Trimble construction customers in and expand customer base in NYC & LI
  • Support customer service needs by connecting them to field technicians, as appropriate
  • Develop & utilize strategies & selling tools to sell the features/benefits of Trimble equipment & value of the total product offerings


Qualifications:

  • Experience with construction technologies such as Trimble, Topcon, Leica, Spectra preferred
  • Previous direct sales experience, preferably in industrial-type market, required
  • Strong self-starter with high-level time management skills
  • Experience with surveying, estimating, construction equipment, and earthmoving operations preferred
  • Excellent influencing skills
  • Clean & valid driver’s license required (this is an outside sales role)
  • Proficiency with CRM systems to track all sales contacts, meetings, opportunities, proposals, and orders
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a sales territory, prospect, and cultivate new accounts
  • PC proficient (including high proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office and other software)
  • Economically motivated
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Essential Physical Job Qualifications:
