$60,000 - $80,000 Base Salary
+ Commission (after training period)

Position Summary:

Provides assistance throughout the region supporting order and delivery interaction between food service customers and Gordon Food Service in all aspects of the sales function until territory assignment.

Essential Functions:
  • Observes management of accounts receivables.
  • Assists with the demonstration of products and discussion of applications.
  • Assists with the delivery of appropriate marketing materials.
  • Effectively expresses and services the GFS story.
  • Assists and participates in customer events and segment shows.
  • Verifies orders with customers including receiving information, discussing orders and credits with customers.
  • Participates and contributes to region team efforts.
  • Services existing accounts as assigned.
  • Travels through route to provide coverage for all Customer Development Specialists (CDS) as appropriate.

  • A High School Diploma/GED is required, but a Bachelor's degree in hospitality or a culinary certificate is preferred

  • This is a sales trainee position
  • Must complete GFS’ Training Period.
  • At least 1 year of prior sales or food service experience (restaurant management preferred)
  • Must be able to meet and exceed sales performance goals and execute good time and territory management.
