What You’ll Do


Are you a solution-oriented sales professional with complex sales experience designed and selling technology solutions to customers that include software, hardware, and services? If so, this is the job for you! As an Outside Regional Sales Representative, you’ll be part of a growing sales & marketing team working remotely with our current and prospective customers in the Mountain West Region.


Specifically, you’ll: Join a talented team of other regional sellers in North America responsible for driving growth with key customers in our core market segments, acquiring new customers within these same markets and prospecting opportunities to expand our business into adjacent markets. You will manage all sales and business development aspects within the designated sales region by strategically planning and managing both channel partner networks and direct accounts. The position offers a competitive base salary and commission structure, flexible remote work environment, opportunities to travel and work directly with customers in the field and a defined career advancement track to continue building your skillsets and advancing your career.


  • Quickly gain a firm understanding of CribMaster’s Software, Technology Solutions & Service Portfolio including SaaS products, connected hardware, RFID and professional services.
  • Attend local and regional trade events and quickly become the CribMaster Regional Subject Matter Expert, and Manage & forecast an accurate sales pipeline across the region on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Direct calling and development of end user and OEM accounts
  • Stay attuned to industry trends, competitor activities & products and communications in the region
  • Be an excellent manager of time – maximizing opportunities to travel and meet with local customers, authorized distributors & resellers, and internal cross business allies within other Stanley Black & Decker business units.
  • Strategically develop and execute an effective distribution channel strategy including driving sales development within key accounts.
  • The ability to plan and execute an effective regional sales plan designed to exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets. Planning will include area business analysis, time and resource prioritization, and rigorous execution.
  • Average Travel Expectancy 50-65%
  • Develop and deliver effective presentations in one-on-one settings, group meetings, and in booth presentations to all levels of management.

  • Track Record of sales performance and growth in complex solution selling including software within industrial markets.
  • Intermediate understanding of business finance, Able to be effective and achieve goals in an independent work environment, Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and ability to work well in a team environment with the discipline of remote work.
  • Position requires residency in the Mountain or Pacific Time Zone to align with the West Coast Region responsibility.
  • CRM Experience and Proficiency in SalesForce.com
  • Experience with Wholesale and/or Industrial Distribution
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills, and a strong desire to please customers and achieve positive outcomes
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or similar field of study required and 3 – 5 years of professional outside sales experience.

The base pay range for this position in Colorado is $58,000 - $105,000 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
