Order Entry Pharmacy Technician - 2Nd Shift

Enters incoming orders for pharmacy services. Informs customers of the receipt, pricing, shipping dates and delays of orders. Answers and responds to customer

inquiries.

Hours - Monday-Friday 130pm- 1000pm with rotating weekends.

• 2nd shift includes a 5% shift differential.

Duties

• Supports facilities, departmental goals and the overall objectives of the Company.
• Checks inventory records to determine availability of requested merchandise.
• Verifies and enters physician information into the system.
• Reviews orders for completeness according to reporting procedures and forwards incomplete orders for further processing.
• Sorts, correlates and distributes copies obtained from fax machines.
• Performs all job duties with a friendly positive and team-oriented approach.
• Complies with all Company policies, procedures, rules and standards.
• Meets Expectations of Excellence for position.
• Reviews and verifies customer and order information for correctness, checking it against previously obtained information as necessary.
• Complies with all laws, regulations and standards of ethical conduct.
• OH pharmacy technician license.
• Enters customers' names, addresses, and billing information, product numbers, and specifications of items to be purchased into the order entry system.
• Enters new medication orders and enters refills.
• Assists specified departments in the preparation and shipment of orders to designated locations.
• Receives and responds to customer complaints and/or issues. Forwards escalated concerns to the Order Entry Supervisor.
• High School degree or equivalent. Associates degree preferred.

Experience

• One (1) to three (3) years’ order entry, sales, or service center experience. Healthcare, senior living industry, pharmacy or long-term care environment preferred.
• Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.

Responsible for managing day-to-day operations and workflow processes including, but not limited to, data entry, dispensing department, medical records, purchasing department, and crediting/returns department.

Duties

• Complies with all laws, regulations and standards of ethical conduct.
• Ohio pharmacist license required.
• In-service facilities on internal pharmacy procedures and communications.

• Maintain and troubleshoot (and/or identify) software, hardware, and system utilities issues.
• Complies with all Company policies, procedures, rules and standards.
• Support facilities, departmental goals, and the overall objectives of the Company.
• Maintain accurate and detailed reports and records.
• Effectively communicate, lead, and support employees day-to-day.
• Review performance data to measure productivity and inefficiencies for departments.
• Oversee and manage training processes in addition to the evaluation of current staff.
• Comply with all laws, regulations, and standards of ethical conduct.
• Establish and manage departmental policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
• Supports location, departmental goals, and the overall objectives of the Company.
• Identify operational areas of opportunity that prevent goal achievement.
• Leads by Example (LBE), upholds and promotes the culture, mission and values of the Company.
• Manage technicians, prepare schedules, and review staffing levels.
• Ensure workflow processes for departments are running efficiently.
• Perform all job duties with a friendly, positive, and team-oriented approach.
• Occasional travel including overnight stay as necessary.

Experience

• Five years’ experience in operations or business. Healthcare, senior living industry, pharmacy, or longterm care environment preferred.
• Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
