Order Entry Specialist Jobs

BASIC JOB SUMMARY:

The overall purpose of this job is order entry for new sales, order services, and complete customer account billing. The job requires familiarity with telecommunications industry concepts and procedures. Position relies on experience and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Must be able to accurately maintain and update in-house databases
• Resolve carrier rejects and work with carriers to ensure smooth order completion
• Must be able to prioritize workload, manage multiple orders simultaneously and possess exceptional follow-up skills
• Prepare and submit orders for services including voice and circuitry for resale and facility customers
• Must be able to determine appropriate action required for each service request
• Effectively communicate the status of all assigned orders in a timely manner to include purchase order number and commitment due dates in the billing order
• Must be able to complete all billing associated with order or renewal in OMNIA billing system with accuracy

• Must be able to accurately complete directory listings and post Customer Service Records

• Must be able to coordinate orders and order status with other departments

• Must be able to use and reference online documentation to facilitate the order process

Education/Experience – High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree preferred. A minimum of three (2) years of data entry experience with attention to detail required.
