Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE:
The Operations Manager is responsible for managing branch level operations and ensuring compliance within assigned location, including administration of the financial business plan, overseeing all talent development & training, facility maintenance and customer experience objectives. Ensures all Briggs Equipment standards comply with and are executed consistently with company direction.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Exemplify the Company’s core value of safety. Committed to safety in everyday work practices and promotes a Safety First culture via leading by example.
2. Achieve company financial objectives for profit performance; assist with developing and monitoring budgets for assigned location
3. Ensure the maintenance of fiscal reporting procedures within assigned location are in full compliance with established company policies including: accounts receivable, inventory reports, monthly forecasts and related score cards
4. Provide leadership for location to ensure a positive customer experience, to include building and maintaining customer relationships
5. Assess talent at all levels within the assigned location; provide ongoing coaching, training and feedback to develop the best talent in the industry
6. Recruit, interview and take ownership within location of all hiring decisions to ensure only top diversified talent is on-boarded into Briggs Equipment
7. Promote positive employee relations including fostering high team morale, upholding operational standards, and execution of the performance management process to include termination of employment
8. Manage payroll, productivity and staffing against established performance standards and objectives to ensure location is on target with business plan
9. Ensure execution on monthly expectations and standards, strategies and action items, to include safety procedures
10. Manage all operational departments and vendors who provide services for the care of the facility
11. Work with cross functional partners (Human Resources, Finance, Technology, etc.) to ensure assigned location is in alignment with the Organization in all process and direction
OPERATIONS MANAGER
12. Ensure Federal/State Law safety requirements are established within assigned location
13. Perform other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Knowledge & Competencies:

  • Ability to assess customer patterns and adjust labor and branch focus accordingly
  • Excellent customer service, time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
  • Outstanding leadership and people development skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong financial acumen, including cognitive skills, problem analysis, decision-making and quantitative analysis

Previous Experience/Education:

  • 5+ years’ experience supervising management-level employees preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in leading a multi-unit work environment preferred
  • Analytical decision-making preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Experience in revenue generation to include the ability to analyze income statements and take appropriate action

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending on a frequent basis
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
