Job Description

We are conducting a confidential search for an Operations Manager with a client company of ours that is a global supplier of industrial components to the transportation, aerospace, and medical device markets. This is a direct-hire position and it is based around Lufkin, TX.


This Sr.-level position will partner with the leadership team in translating business strategy into action that drives business results for this key location.


Responsibilities will include:


-Participate as lead staff member responsible for operation and performance of entire operation

-Lead multi-disciplined plant team in meeting monthly forecasts and appropriate business metric

-Develop strategic manufacturing direction and planning for 1-3 year planning horizon

-Direct preparation of operational budgets and coordinates capital plans, appropriation requests, and project follow up

-Accountable for leading manufacturing, environment, health & safety, engineering, quality, human resources, and finance to achieve business objectives

-Implement quarter-over-quarter improvement strategies

-Manage the day-to-day activities of the manufacturing process

-Analyze and implement process flow, inventory and velocity improvements

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:


* Bachelors degree preferred

* Previous Manufacturing/Operations Management experience

* Manufacturing experience is required

* Experience with Toyota Production System and other Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus

* Strong communication skills

* Self-motivated and self-directed
