Who You Are
Museum of Ice Cream is looking for an Operations Lead with a business background to join our site team. In this role, you will need to have a proven track record of data management and financial analysis to build insights and reports that support driving process and revenue improvement. Also, as the operations lead, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory, as a revenue driver. Managing all aspects of site inventory, includes retail, paper goods, perishable and non-perishable food and beverage items.
Your Day-to-Day
Inventory Management:
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels of retail inventory, paper goods, and F&B perishable and non-perishable items.
  • Monitor inventory levels, track product movements, and identify trends or patterns to anticipate demand and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including retail, food and beverage, and procurement, to ensure accurate inventory forecasting and replenishment.
Data And Financial Analysis
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to evaluate the performance of inventory-related operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain inventory-related reports and metrics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to generate insights and recommendations for improving inventory management processes and driving cost efficiencies.
Process Improvement
  • Identify areas for process improvement, propose and implement innovative solutions, and monitor the effectiveness of implemented changes.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize inventory management processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends related to inventory management and implement relevant improvements as appropriate.
Team Leadership And Collaboration
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of inventory, resolving any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting effective communication and cross-functional collaboration with departments such as retail, F&B, procurement, and finance.
The salary range for this role is $60,000-$75,000, depending on experience.Travel Requirements: up to 10%
Requirements
The Necessities and Nice-to-Haves:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of inventory control best practices, financial principles, and supply chain management concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring inventory records and reports are maintained meticulously.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Microsoft Excel, inventory management systems, and financial analysis software.
  • Effective leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a positive work culture and motivating team members.
  • Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a retail or hospitality environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret data to drive informed decision-making.
