Job Description

Sentara Healthcare is recruiting a student for a Business Analyst Internship. The internship is a temporary position (10-12 weeks) with flexible working hours, Monday - Friday and remote working environment.

Education:

  • Must be currently pursuing and/or enrolled in a college or university at an undergraduate level (Business or Health Administration)

:

Designs, produces and analyzes customer operations data. Creates and maintains reports for business operations and special projects as it pertains to operational processes. Utilizes knowledge of numerous applications, databases, information systems, statistical tools and analytical principles to monitor and analyze information in support of the business. Assists in the implementation, maintenance and improvement of information systems.

Position allows for temporary employment as part of educational development opportunity. Under the close direction of permanently employed leaders of the division, Intern assumes responsibility for operational projects and supporting the leadership initiatives for a defined period of time. Assist in completion of various projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned department and healthcare industry. Coordinates and assists with projects based on operational needs and/or Intern's area of interest. Communicates ongoing progress related to currently assigned tasks.
