We are hiring a Business Analyst to support the operations, maintenance, and enhancement of IT systems related to the APD program, with respect to Agency, Program, and Legislative needs/priorities in Department and Enterprise IT initiatives.
We are seeking a Business Analyst (Operations & Policy Analyst 1) to join our Provider Time Capture Team.

What you need to qualify
A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science, or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills.
OR
Any combination of experience or education equivalent to three years of technical-level experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.

  • Skilled in business analysis related to public policy and business project planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Skilled in treating customers, stakeholders, partners, vendors and co-workers with dignity and respect while assisting with technological support and at all times.
  • Skilled in communication strategy and planning and the ability to communicate detailed information to a diverse audience.
  • Knowledge in implementing and institutionalizing processes and controls knowledge in operational support and troubleshooting.
  • Skilled in State systems and business procedures.
  • Skilled in customer service needs and communication strategy and planning to communicate with diverse groups.

As a Business Analyst, you will:
  • Identify gaps, make recommendations, design, and oversee collection of data, provide analysis, and recommend operational changes.
  • Collect and analyze data, identify, and resolve problems related to business needs and computer operations.
  • Provide guidance to other support team members in developing and maintaining online help components and procedure manuals.
  • Implement, simplify, or improve program operations and results.
  • Assist in facilitating various phases and activities of assigned projects, development of an approach, timeline, and the tasks involved.
  • Provide technical assistance to various diverse groups while maintain respect and dignity of each individual.
  • Provide high-level technical experience and advice regarding systems usage, troubleshooting, and customer service issues.
  • Establish policies and procedures for documentation for information systems including online help, procedure manuals, and materials describing system usage.
Working conditions
  • Remote work or alternative work location will be considered in filling this position. The ability to report to Salem is required when business or operational needs are dependent on onsite activities.
  • Employee’s work will be conducted Monday through Friday 8-5 with a possibility of a flexible schedule after obtaining approval from manager.
