Oncology Registered Nurse (RN), Telehealth:

The Oncology RN, Telehealth is responsible for informing and supporting participants to seek the best clinical outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide immediate assistance to symptomatic callers and referral if necessary.
• Assist with developing and maintaining policies and procedures.
• Maintain timely accurate entry of all case notes and client interactions in database.
• Engage caller and build rapport.
• Fulfill responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Alight for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company.
• Assist in web registration and navigation.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Maintain knowledge of all educational materials, web tools, and other corporate employer benefit programs in order to provide current informational and navigational support to assigned clients.
• Manage assigned workload, including ongoing client follow-up and customization of report materials, with ease
• Provide health information to the caller based on their health literacy and specific areas of interest.
• Educate caller regarding services that are available to them.
• Participate in physician conference calls with patients and their families including, in some cases, scheduled calls outside of usual shift.
• Comply with all government mandated HIPAA Privacy Standards.
• Conduct feedback surveys with clients to evaluate satisfaction, utilization of services provided and impact of services.
• Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Alight’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position.
• Communicate patient preferences to physician led team in order to provide the patient with pertinent health information.
• Coordinate development of custom educational content with physician led team.
• Assess and identify opportunities to support the patient along their health care journey via a conversational approach.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in a clinical setting providing direct support to patients and their families from diagnosis through treatment.
• Proficient computer and internet navigation skills.
• Registered Nurse with an Associate degree and equivalent experience, BSN preferred.
• Must be comfortable with a fast paced, evolving operation.
• Dedicated to providing high quality, professional customer service.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) required.
• Enthusiastic, must enjoy working independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to multitask while providing excellent customer service to our participants.
• Experience working with a variety of digital/internet media and interest in exploring new information technology.
• Experience communicating medical information to a non-medical audience.
• RN compact license in good standing.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook).

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Pay Transparency Statement: Alight takes into consideration a candidate’s experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and geography when determining an offer for a successful employment candidate, and Alight does so on an individualized, non-discriminatory basis. Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $72,200.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $178,600.00/year (for full-time employees).
