Flu Nurse - Mow

Job Summary:

Primary functions are to coordinate annual flu program with Meals on Wheels clients and community partners, administer vaccines with team of nurses and enter data as required for program, will assume the responsibility for coordination and quality of care.

Temporary: from August 2023 - November 2023

Job Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing

Licensure: Current Texas State license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse, current Texas Driver’s License

Experience/Skills: Nursing skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice. Knowledge of State and Federal regulations. Good interpersonal skills. Accurate and timely documentation

Transportation: Reliable transportation. Valid and current auto liability insurance

Reports to: Chief Nursing Officer

Environmenta and Working Conditions:

Works in patient’s home and facilities in various conditions and locations; possible exposure to blood and bodily fluids and infectious diseases; Proof of current CPR, ability to work flexible schedule; ability to travel locally; some exposure to unpleasant weather. Manages supplies and schedule for flu program. Other duties as assigned.

Physical and Mental Effort:

Prolonged standing and walking required, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs, and to make quick decisions and resource acquisition. Requires hand- eye coordination and manual dexterity. Proof of Hepatitis acceptance or declination. Proof of TB testing. Criminal Background: Must pass background check.
