Posting Summary


Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Onboarding Team Lead for the University Human Resources ( UHR ). We are looking for an innovative and proactive leader who will supervise, train, and mentor onboarding team staff responsible for post-job offer onboarding processes, guiding employees through new hire tasks, and acting as their primary contact for questions related to their employment, both in their first weeks and throughout their tenure at Rutgers University.


Among the key duties of this position are the following:


  • Manages onboarding projects to promote and improve the new hire experience.
  • Develops and communicates guidance to departments regarding onboarding policies and processes.
  • Supports the development, implementation, and administration of onboarding processes.
  • Oversees quality of work and provide feedback to Talent Acquisition management.
  • Provides leadership and mentorship to the onboarding team including assessing team member performance and continuous professional development.
  • Supports the development, implementation, and administration of onboarding processes to advance efficiency and effectiveness.

Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
