Job Description

Our client is a capital management firm that combines scientific expertise and financial capital to scale carbon removal and utilization. They are seeking a flexible and dynamic Office Manager/Operations Associate to lead and oversee various tasks within the finance/accounting function, legal team, investment team, and investor relations function. Additionally, this person should be looking to hone their skills in a number of other areas, including accounts payable, legal and compliance support, investment and corporate operations. This position is in office Monday-Friday.


COMPANY: Capital Management

POSITION: Office Manager/Operations Associate

LOCATION: New York, NY (in office Monday-Friday)

HOURS: 9:00am – 6:00pm

COMPENSATION: $80-90K DOE + Benefits

BACHELOR’S DEGREE: Required


The base annual salary range posted for this New York City-based position is a good faith estimate. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to, level, experience, and qualifications for the role.


Responsibilities of the Office Manager/Operations Associate:

-Legal and Compliance team assistance with document management and retention oversight, dataroom access management, and document execution.

-Assistance with ad-hoc marketing projects such as preparation and/or coordination of formal presentations, team offsite planning and coordination, investor events, and creative services with PowerPoint (or similar).

-Assistance with the monthly accounts payable process, including senior executive expense review.

-Administration of office needs, including future build-out, office supplies, and guest/visitor coordination.

-Senior executive support, including travel arrangements and scheduling assistance and coordination.

-Vendor management, review and new vendor approval.

-Anticipating and evaluating business needs to make sure that financial organization and related systems appropriately support the company’s growth.

-Investor relations assistance including communications and coordination of various impact-reporting initiatives and on-going investor and portfolio company monitoring needs.

-Assisting with special projects as needed.


Requirements of the Office Manager/Operations Associate:

-Experience of 1-3 years (in a similar role with many ad-hoc and dynamic needs) preferred.

-Bachelor’s degree required.

-Positive attitude coupled with a strong work ethic.

-Track record of working in a fast-paced environment, managing ambiguity and complex situations, and ability to execute proactively and independently, follow-through, and bring deliverables, projects and/or special initiatives to completion.

-Able to work both independently and collaboratively with teams located in different time zones and jurisdictions.

-Displays interest in assisting in many areas outside of primary role responsibilities such as Investor Relations, Marketing, and Accounting.

-Proven analytical abilities, well-developed communication and organizational skills, and keen attention to detail are vital.

-Verification of identity, education, prior employment, and references may be required.
