Job Description

As an Office Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office and coordinating department project activities, developing department resource database to facilitate management of various project activities and coordinating department scheduling of individuals, resources, and activities.
The ideal future caregiver is someone who:
  • Is well versed in various software systems, such as EPIC.
  • Interacts in a professional manner with physician offices to receive patient information.
  • Has at least two years of healthcare experience.
  • Easily adapts to accepts change.

By taking this opportunity, you will enjoy a remote work environment and develop skills in time management, accuracy, efficiency, communication, organization, EPIC and Oncolog. Those who successfully and effectively manage a full workload (meeting metrics) may be considered for a promotion to Coordinator II. At that point, the caregiver would be more actively participating in engagement/teambuilding activities, act as a resource to team members and actively seek to problem solve. With at least 5 years of experience in this role, you may be considered for a promotion to a Coordinator III.

Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Coordinates administrative activities for the department (e.g., coordinating resources, timing, and activities). Manages department schedule for key activities. Ensures that administrative support is provided as needed. Participates on project teams and builds competency around specific department tools and methods for organizational performance improvement. Maintains data, develops database and completes analysis. Provides reports; prepares charts, presentations or summary data.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Certifications:

  • None required.

Complexity of Work:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree may offset experience requirement
  • Experience coordinating multiple functions, managing data and leading mid-size projects preferred.
  • Minimum two years experience in a healthcare setting

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office and laboratory equipment
  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EPIC experience
