Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Office Assistant for the Professional Science Master’s Program. This position will provide administrative and confidential support to the Master of Business Science’s program faculty and staff.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Responsible for data collection and updates via electronic files using Excel such as student employment, alumni employment, and sharing documents via Google Drive.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Revises/designs presentation materials using MS PPT , and videos using Zoom or PowToon.
  • Creates flyers using Canva or Adobe for events such as career panels, virtual Fridays, professional development, networking events, alumni events, etc.
  • Designs surveys using Qualtrics, analyzes the results and presents in various formats.
  • Responsible for the proper handling of confidential documents.

Work Arrangement
Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2023. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or cancellation and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System. Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Certifications/Licenses
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with the following programs and tools: Zoom, Qualtrics, Google Suite, Microsoft Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree and directly related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must possess general administrative skills.
  • Must be comfortable working remotely with occasional campus visits for meetings and events.
  • Comfortable learning and working with new technology.
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Candidate must sign a Statement of Confidentiality.
  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Must be organized, professional, and provide attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
