ABOUT THE JOB
Everside Health is looking for a RN, COHN to assist with or lead the formulation, administration, and documentation of Occupational health programs, including Standard Operating procedures, AAAHC re-accreditations, injury prevention, medical surveillance, and case management programs. This person will participate in management and peer review of clinical care and program effectiveness to ensure quality, including documenting, quality improvement studies and evidenced based outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform clinic audits and quality checks to ensure all processes are being followed. Report identified issues and collaborated with health centers on corrective action plans.
  • Lead onsite trainings at Health Centers as needed and support Operations team on training of health center staff.
  • Apply knowledge of nursing principles and occupational health program administration to provide advice, leadership, and recommendations toward the formulation and or improvement of onsite employer programs.
  • Collaborate with EMR administrators to ensure appropriateness of templates, visit types and length, scheduling, and documentation to assist in health center workflow that will provide consistent and efficient patient care and meet needs for reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Occupational Hazards: Identify real and potential health problems and hazards at the workplace through methods including work site surveys toxicological literature research, analysis of OSHA 200 logs and accident reports. Maintain familiarity with workplace hazards, including chemical, physical, and radiological hazards. Consult with the clients Safety, HR, and operations team members to improve occupational health practices and eliminate safety hazards.
  • Apply knowledge of nursing principals and health program administration and recommendations toward improvement of occupational health and wellness programs.
  • Participate in management and peer review of clinical care and program effectiveness to ensure quality, including documenting quality improvement studies and outcomes.
  • Contribute to the success of worksite health and safety programs and help optimize employee’s health by performing various medical surveillance programs for robust onsite occupational health program.
  • Provide essential support services during localized or site wide emergencies, including those that relate directly to the health and safety and welfare of the operations team. Support the operations team in onsite audits from OSHA and or AAAHC accreditation processes.
  • Case Management: Collaborate with the onsite operations team and occupational health medical director, onsite health center, HR staff and safety team for assessing, planning, coordination and monitoring of quality cost-effective options and services necessary to optimize the occupationally injured workers’ recovery and successful return to work.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to standardize Occupational Health Trainings/Offerings.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Certificate from an accredited Nursing School associate degree nursing (A.S.) Bachelor’s degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred and a minimum of 3+ years of related experience. Prior management experience preferred.
  • Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S) required
  • Ability to travel up to 30% nationwide
  • Currently licensed Registered Nurse.
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems required.
  • Strong foundation of knowledge of Occupational Medicine requirements and regulations including but not limited to substance abuse testing, physical exams, surveillance programs & management, worker’s compensation and reporting
  • History of developing and operating Occupational Health services across a health system a plus
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in all kinds of situations is a must.
  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
Pay Range: $75,000 - $100,000/yr
The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate’s years of experience and/or skill level.
