Job Description

Duties

As a/an Safety & Occupational Health Manager, you will:

  • Conduct environmental investigations and surveys as needed to insure environmental conditions are in compliance with applicable environmental standards, laws, rules and regulations of all regulatory agencies, and initiates remedial and/or corrective action or modifications.
  • Serve as the facilities' authorized agent to sign applicable manifests in the management of shipment and disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Serve as principal advisor to Mint management and provides expert advice and technical assistance to ensure the facility meets numerous regulatory requirements.
  • Be responsible for the continuity of the EMS program and Certification of ISO 14001.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience
For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. The specialized experience for this position includes: experience managing and providing technical advice for a comprehensive safety, environmental hygiene, and occupational health program.
