Overview:


Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks an Associate Merchant to join the Merchandising - Leather Goods team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters.


RESPONSIBILITIES :


  • Support Director of Merchandising in all aspects of the Mainline Leathergoods business
  • Responsible for execution and maintenance of merchandising guidelines and sharing product knowledge, and training tools to the stores
  • Work closely with Global teams on product development needs, strategic business development and feedback on regional market trends
  • Manage the Merchandising Coordinator
  • Partner with the Director of Merchandising to develop the Leather Goods assortment strategy
  • Partner with Marketing to ensure editorial and marketing strategies are in line with the key investments and overall category strategy


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 4+ years of merchandising experience
  • Ability to take initiative, ownership, and accountability for all projects
  • Team oriented with ability to multi-task
  • Fluent in Excel, PPT, PLM & ERP Systems
  • Highly detail oriented with strong organizational & problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to successfully navigate in such an environment
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Strong managerial skills


SALARY & BENEFITS/WHAT WE OFFER:


The compensation for this position ranges from $80,000-$85,000 (annually). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. In addition, we offer our employees a comprehensive benefits package including paid holidays, vacation time, sick and personal time, medical, dental and vision insurance, and 401k matching.
