Join the North American heavy-duty transit bus leader and work with a team dedicated to providing safe, sustainable, and reliable transportation solutions. As the Marketing Events Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead impactful digital and in-person events, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and cultivate memorable experiences for our audiences. You will also lead the marketing strategy for the Vehicle Innovations Center and ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.

Marketing Events Management

• Source, contract, and manage vendors and make decisions about event design
• Lead creative ideation of events and incorporate innovative ways to involve and interact with audiences
• Plan and manage logistics for all events including contract negotiations, venue preparation, and marketing materials
• Gather feedback with post-event surveys and develop post-event reports on the effectiveness of each event
• Strategize, plan, and execute impactful digital and in-person events

Vehicle Innovations Center Marketing

• Support the VIC team with supplier outreach and relationship management
• Create and maintain Vehicle Innovations Center marketing collateral
• Write comprehensive and engaging scripts for virtual product and service launches and educational sessions
• Design and implement the email marketing strategy and messaging for the VIC quarterly e-newsletter
• Lead the marketing strategy and execution for the Vehicle Innovations Center

Requirements

• Detailed oriented and adept problem solver with the ability to multitask and work efficiently to meet deadlines
• Post-secondary degree in Marketing or a related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of experience in planning and executing events and/or tradeshows
• Excellent self-manager with proactive planning and organizational skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Additional Information

• Up to 10% of travel is required in this position
• Working knowledge of the hospitality industry would be considered an asset
• Knowledge of bus manufacturing or transit industry would be considered an asset
• Can demonstrate understanding of accessibility, inclusion, diversity, and equity issues as they relate to event logistics and planning.
• Proficiency in MS Teams Live, MS Team Webinar, and working knowledge of online event registration tools is an asset
