Position Summary:
We are looking for an exceptional National Account Manager to join our vibrant team in Reston, Virginia, where numerous academic associations of national significance are based. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in propelling the growth of our national association accounts. For four decades, Centricity has forged successful partnerships with several of these associations. We are now seeking a skilled individual to take on an account management position, overseeing two of our premier association clients. The ideal candidate will be entrusted with the responsibility of expanding sales with these two associations, driving business growth and fostering long-term relationships.

Compensation and Benefits:
Base: Competitive based on experience
Commission: % of Gross Profit

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract renewals with national association accounts, ensuring favorable terms and mutually beneficial agreements.
- Conduct regular business reviews with national association accounts, analyzing performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing strategies for growth.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to maximize sales opportunities and achieve revenue targets for assigned national association accounts.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure effective coordination and alignment in delivering value to national association accounts.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities and potential risks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within national association accounts, understanding their needs and delivering solutions that meet their requirements.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and develop new relationships.
- Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, reports, and other relevant data to management, highlighting progress, challenges, and recommended actions.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the promotional products industry and the specific challenges and opportunities related to national academic association accounts.
- Strong track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events. Estimate travel 10% to 20%.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective account plans.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in using CRM systems, market research tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport with clients at all levels.
- Proven negotiation skills and the ability to drive favorable outcomes in contract discussions.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or Education.
