Motion Design Intern - Undergraduate

We are looking for an undergraduate Motion Design Intern for a paid, 100% remote, 6-week internship. The expected weekly time commitment for this opportunity is 10 to 20 hours per week.

Please note that this internship is a 1099 contract opportunity, not a W2 opportunity.

This opportunity may be a good fit if

• You have an outstanding an extensive motion design portfolio
• You are comfortable working 100% remotely as part of a distributed team
• Your aptitude, mindset, and resourcefulness make up for shortcomings in your current skill set
• You are proficient with Adobe After Effects or other motion design software

This role may require you to

• Communicate with product designers, data product engineers, and other team members to deeply understand the features, capabilities, benefits, user interfaces, and user experiences of MDP products and services
• Incorporate value-added music into motion graphics content
• Animate new and existing visual assets to enhance meaning, engagement, and branding
• Collaborate with teammates using Notion, Figma, Slack, Google Workspace, and other software
• Document research findings, operational tasks, and other knowledge assets
• Leverage systems thinking to enable the streamlining of motion graphics content generation across multiple team members
• Develop, maintain, enhance, and apply design systems
• Produce compelling motion graphics video content that communicates the features, capabilities, and benefits of MDP products and services

An ideal candidate has

• Emotional intelligence and coachability
• Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience in a motion design or multimedia design role
• Effective modular thinking skills as evidenced by the ability to break down large, intricate undertakings into a series of smaller self-contained tasks
