Radiology Partners is seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative to efficiently process all denied charges. Accurate processing of denials will ensure reliable cash flow to position the company strategically and enhance the organization’s growth potential.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain regulatory compliance by staying abreast of current trends and regulations in the financial and healthcare industries.
• Maintain compliance according to government insurance regulations and managed care contractual obligations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Process insurance denials and appeals to ensure timely account resolution.
• Assist with or obtain preauthorization as required by various carriers.
• Identify denial trends and determine process changes to prevent future denials.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Promote a culture that reflects the organization’s values, encourages good performance, and enhances productivity.
• Work with other teams to address editing, coding and payment related issues.
• Investigate charges with insurance carriers when no response received within 45 days of claim submission.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience with Imagine – Billing software experience a plus
• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite 2007 – Excel, Word
• Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• At least 2 years related experience and/or training
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Experience with 10-key calculator, copier/fax/scanner, printer and phone
