Job Description
Visiting Angels is seeking a knowledgeable Medicaid Biller

SHIFT DETAILS AND BENEFITS:


  • Holiday Pay
  • Cafeteria and medical benefits
  • Working hours:Monday– Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Competitive Pay - $20-$23/hour, based on credentials and experience
  • PTO


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :


  • Maintain absolute confidentiality of all company records.
  • Assure timely payment of tax and unemployment liabilities.
  • Prepare month financial statements.
  • Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Process approved bills for payment, coding to the appropriate accounts.
  • Reconcile the business hours and billed amount and the payment received
  • Prepare a monthly report on overdue accounts.
  • Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.
  • Record customer payments and prepare the daily bank deposit.
  • Check figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes.
  • Submit the claims for billing every week through different portals
  • Prepare invoices for all clients in accordance with the established billing cycle.
  • Re-submit the denied claims and ensure receive all payment
  • Issue customer statements and effectively manage past due accounts.
  • Prepare and process the payroll.
  • Assure the employee benefits and check the monthly payment
  • Classify, record and summarize the financial data to compile and keep financial records.


SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND PERSONAL ABILITIES REQUIRED :


  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) applications, scheduling systems and other health care industry related software.
  • Ability to listen and communicate clearly, fluently, diplomatically bothorally and in writing.
  • Two years minimum experience with QuickBooks.
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field preferred.
