Medical Administrative Assistant/Receptionist

We are a well-positioned and growing specialist optometric firm, with a unique and valuable vision care offering that helps people of all ages who have been struggling with undiagnosed vision conditions. We are seeking a professional, energetic, and polished full-time Administrative Assistant to support our amazing patients and team of vision care professionals, in the Cleveland area. This position will work out of our North Royalton, OH office.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Supervise the reception area to ensure it is running effective and efficiently
• Collect payments for services
• Manage patient check-ins
• Greet patients and visitors on arrival to the office
• Monitor and process external New Patient Leads
• Scheduling patients for exams and therapy
• Respond to incoming phone calls, e-mails, and patient questions

Qualifications

The ideal Administrative Assistant candidate will possess a strong personal character and will consistently demonstrate loyalty, empathy towards others, dependability, self-motivation, trustworthiness, strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and excellence in customer service.

He/she will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with two plus (2+) years prior medical and/or vision office experience.

Special Skills

• Strong leadership skills
• Medical billing experience
• Excellent telephone and communication skills
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and particularly with Word & Excel
• Prior experience with electronic health record software
• Familiarity with optometry and/or vision terminology
