The ability to lift, push, pull objects over 50 lbs.; stand and/or walk for extended periods with objects up to 25lbs.; substantial amount of kneeling and reaching overhead; working in confined spaces; exposure to loud noises and bloodborne/airborne pathogens.

Primarily Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional hours per departmental needs.

This position will support the Materials Management Department in maintaining and recording all supply items utilized within the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. This position will utilize systems such as SAP, Microsoft Office, and several point of use systems for documenting inventory management.
This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: exceptional customer service, planning and organization, time management, attention to detail, listening, and communication. In addition, we are looking for someone with the ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and point of use systems.
