HARTZ Search invites you to explore an exciting opportunity with our client, MidCoast Health, for the Director of Materials Management. The Director of Materials Management is responsible for overseeing and directing the operations of the Materials Management Department related to property management, purchasing, receiving, storage, inventory control, forms management, and outside printing. They will ensure efficient and cost-effective acquisition, utilization distribution, and maintenance of material supplies used throughout the hospital. They will act as a liaison between Department Directors, Medical Staff, and sales representatives of medical and surgical supply sources. Acknowledges and responds appropriately to the hospital’s customer relations philosophy, including the five fundamentals of the AIDET program. MidCoast Health is a rapidly growing, non-profit 501(c)3 healthcare system dedicated to providing the highest standards of care for the surrounding communities. MidCoast Health is one of Texas' leading rural statewide healthcare systems. Their flagship hospital, El Campo Memorial, was established in 1979. Today, MidCoast Health System operates hospitals in El Campo, Palacios, Llano, Bellville, and Trinity as well as a large network of walk-in clinics, pharmacies, rehabilitation clinics, campus care centers, durable medical equipment (DME) and more. QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience:

• A hands-on leader willing to roll up their sleeves and do the work when required. Ability to delegate responsibility, infuse the organization with an empowering management style, and hold people accountable for performance and results through constructive feedback and counsel.
• Requires a bachelor’s degree in business or progressive experience (Five years minimum) in Material Management operations of the healthcare field involving purchasing, accounting, business management, and personnel management.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with various constituents within and external to MidCoast Health, including other supporting departments.
