Material Prep

Overview

Performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials. The Entry Stoc Material Prep person will work on special orders that require more attention to detail and is required to meet specific deadlines. Assists a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prep jambs per order requirements
• Activate machine cycle to machine the jamb
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Apply weather stripping to head and get the proper sill per order requirements
• Stocking finished product
• Read tickets and/or labels to properly pull the required components necessary for building door(s) correctly
• Pin reprinted paperwork to completed jamb set, and put it in the door cart with the door for that order
• Other duties as assigned
• Remove the jamb from the machine and start the weather- stripping process

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read tape measure to 1/32" inch and understand bill of materials
• Strong analytical skills
• Maintain a well-organized work area
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Follow all operational and safety SOP’s as written
• Must be able to read a tape measure and have basic math skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-task
• Ability to organize and maintain detailed records
• Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid disruptions in production and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
• Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities

Qualifications

• Previous work experience in a production environment, preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred but not required
