Material Handler I (2 Openings)

Description: The Material Handler I is responsible for providing support for all activities in receiving, production issues and managing inbound receipts, packing, and shipping. Ensures that inventory accuracy is sustained throughout daily activities. Will be required to demonstrate a positive attitude, be self-driven, and be an engaged team member. This position will require knowledge of commonly-used practices and procedures within a Warehouse setting. Works under close supervision, relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. The job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Forklift operations. Will provide training if necessary
• Satisfactorily completes training requirements and operate within all ISO standards pertaining to site including, but not limited to, control of documents and quality policy
• Routinely pushes and pulls pallets of materials in a warehouse environment
• Process sales orders: Pick product, allocate product, ship product accurately and efficiently
• Work required overtime based on business needs
• Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms while taking and hearing
• Ability to work well with a diverse group of co-works, assist in training of other members and promote a strong team effort to ensure timely and efficient completion of customer requirements.
• Fills out proper paperwork and use of ERP software to indicate quantities received, issued, and shipped. Move orders to the appropriate staging areas. Performs all required warehouse transactions in company's ERP system
• Willingness to be flexible to move to different parts of the material environment or organization to assist areas in need of additional resources
• Perform all other duties assigned Requirements:
• Functional knowledge of receiving, shipping, and inventory control procedures
• Experience in a warehouse environment and all warehouse functions/duties
• Strong computer and communication skills Physical Requirements:
• Loads, unloads, and moves materials
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance of others
• Pick/pull orders by obtaining material/products from designated warehouse locations
• Complies with all warehouse safety procedures

• Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment
• Complies with all guidelines and procedures pertaining to the protection of the Company's Information Assets, Security and Systems and that of its Clients.
• Requires at least 0-1 year of general work experience, preferably in a Warehouse setting.
• Examines, sorts, arranges, counts, and packs items according to established procedures, requirements, and ISO standards
• Uses Material Handling equipment as required to pick product, i.e., hand truck or motorized pallet truck or forklift.
• Process receipts: Responsible for receiving incoming materials, parts, packages from various vendors and means of delivery. Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper or supplier to rectify damages and shortages
