Description

OVERVIEW:

The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for entering and maintaining accurate, time-sensitive data into a computer database. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy, a quick typist, and have a keen eye for detail. They must have the ability to focus and to complete repetitive tasks over an extended period of time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Verify paperwork is properly and accurately completed for processing
• File documents both physically and electronically
• Print and scan documents
• Other duties as assigned
• Enter source data into ERP system
• Type and word-process various documents and electronic information
• Prepare source data for computer entry
• Ensure that tasks are carried out properly and within standards that support ISO 9001:2015
• Research and report system variances to ensure accuracy of information
• Update relevant data using database applications
• Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The Data Entry Clerk spends most of their time in a fast-paced environment set in a manufacturing/warehouse building. They can expect their daily activities to be split between desk time and time on the warehouse floor interacting with team members.

REPORTING STRUCTURE:

This position reports directly to the Materials Manager

LOCATION:

Construction Innovations facilities and offices are located in Sacramento, CA and Mather, CA.

COMPENSATION:

Construction Innovations pays hourly/salary rates commensurate with each employee’s knowledge, experience and skill level.

Qualifications

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong computer skills - Spreadsheet and Data Base user experience is a must
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential
• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to structure work assignments to produce maximum quality and quantity with a minimum of supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized self-driven individual with ability to recognize and address anomalies in a process
• Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment is preferred
• Excellent typing and data entry skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to verbally communicate: convey detailed and accurate instructions and information.
• Push, pull, lift, and carry at least 25 pounds.
• Required to have visual acuity with or without correction in order to read documents, analyze data, view a computer monitor.
• May occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Ability to hear with or without correction in order to receive and interpret detailed information.
• Regularly sit, stand, and walk for long and short durations/distances.
• Required to use fingers and hands: type using a computer keyboard, handle, feel, and reach.
