Founded in 2016, Hunt A Killer started as a single event, blending the concepts of escape room, interactive theater and live entertainment by immersing participants in a 200-acre living crime scene. From that beginning, Hunt A Killer has evolved its products and distribution model to today shipping 150k episodic and complete mystery game boxes direct to consumer each month and selling purpose built games through Target and Amazon. Hunt A Killer is now working on additional ways to distribute its mystery game content including licensing and digital.

About The Role

We are a fast-growing adult board gaming company specializing in murder mystery games. Our games are designed to provide an immersive and engaging experience for our detectives. We believe that board games can bring people together and create unforgettable memories. As a Marketing Designer, you will be participating in our marketing efforts to reach new audiences and promote our brand.

The ideal candidate will be a creative self-starter who is passionate about gaming and has experience designing assets for marketing campaigns. In this role, you will be responsible for executing creative requests including PR/communication collateral, event designs and paid media ads across multiple platforms.

The Marketing Designer will report directly to the Director of Design as well as work cross functionally with the VP of Marketing and Sales team to ensure seamless campaign execution and uphold strong brand standards in all that we do.

You're Thrilled About This Role Because You Will

• Follow project management timelines, factoring in key review periods and implementation of art direction, taking projects to completion and meeting project deadlines
• Design assets for campaigns that bring our brand to life and resonate with our target audience
• Collaborate with the Marketing Team to execute integrated marketing campaigns promoting our murder mystery games
• Ensure cohesion with all product launch creative initiatives across all channels for visual consistency that is adherent to our brand guidelines
• Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and technologies to continuously improve the quality of our marketing materials
• Be responsible for proper project archiving and file management
• Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
• In every project effort, identify opportunities to push our brand into new and exciting places
• Work with both digital and print output in mind, working closely with print vendors as necessary to ensure accuracy of production

• Flexible self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and experience working in a fast pace, changing environment (i.e., startup)
• Passion for design, photography, and creative visual communication
• A flexible and collaborative attitude and the enthusiasm to work with creative feedback and art direction
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
• 5+ years of experience in graphic design within a marketing or advertising environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, communication arts, or a related artistic discipline
• Passion for gaming and the board game industry
• As a plus, experience with Figma
• As a plus, photography, motion graphics, and video editing skills
• Proven strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and the ability to apply them to complex tasks
• Proactive and willing to be hands-on and execute on tasks at all levels
• Solid organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to prioritize competing tasks and work well as a productive member of the team
