Contract Graphic Designer

We are Jak Creative Design,a woman-owned, award-winning branding and design agency in Downers Grove, IL (a western suburb in Chicago), and are located just a short walk from the Burlington Northern Metra Station.

We are looking for a graphic designer available to work in a hybrid environment 30-35 hours per week for three months as a contractor with the possibility to join our amazing team of creatives full-time. Our ideal candidate is a creative individual who can take a project from concept to completion, juggle multiple tasks at once, and work within tight deadlines. We are highly collaborative and are looking for someone who will thrive in our fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Design print and digital materials (brochures, postcards, logos, emails, static and animated banners, websites, etc.)
• Create mock-ups as well as client-ready deliverables
• Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity

Requirements

• A keen eye for details
• The ability to learn quickly with the desire to improve and grow
• Understanding of concepting, typography, imagery, color, and layout
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• 1-3 years of experience in an advertising or marketing environment
• College degree or equivalent experience
• Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
