The Marketing and Business Development manager is responsible for elevating GCVS’ brand recognition and the hospitals financial growth, including social media management, event management and business line development. They will coordinate with company executives, sales, and marketing professionals to review current market trends in order to propose new business ideas to improve revenue margins. They will also lead market research and interpret data to create strategic plans for improvements.

The core duties and responsibilities of the Marketing & Business Development Manager revolve around overall growth and development of the company as well as managing overall brand recognition. Duties may be added or subtracted at any time due to the needs of the organization.

Job Relationships:

  • All GCVS employees.
  • Reports to the Hospital Director
  • Works closely with the entire Leadership Team and department supervisors as well as the external marketing team.


Essential Functions:

  • Research organizations and individuals to find new business opportunities.
  • Create and implement processes and policies to support the overall business.
  • Increase the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
  • Develop goals for the business development team and business growth and ensure they are met.
  • Track, identify and add qualified prospects to the medical team.
  • Train personnel and aid in helping team members develop their skills.
  • Conduct ongoing market research.
  • Manage social media platforms and overall brand recognition.
  • Lead and negotiate contract terms with vendors and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Plan and attend conferences, meetings, galas, and industry events.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business.
  • Track and report on the status of proposal components.
  • Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals.
  • Gather and mine for useful information from client and competitor data.
  • Find and develop new markets and improve sales revenue.
  • Create and lead presentations to prospective clients and internal executives.

Job Requirements:

  • Exposure to high stress levels.
  • Requires employee to bend, squat, kneel and reach above shoulder level frequently. Climb and twist occasionally.
  • Walk up to 50% of an 8-hour workday.
  • Must be able to:
  • Stand 10% or longer of an 8-hour workday.
  • Some travel required
  • Requires repetitive use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulation
  • Job allows employee to vary physical position or activity for comfort.
  • Sit 75% of an 8-hour workday.
  • Requires ability to lift, up to 10 pounds continuously.


Qualifications:

  • Decision-making: you will have to make independent decisions on a daily basis, addressing the best way to handle specific tasks.
  • Must be able to work varying hours as required.
  • Adapts positively to the ever-changing healthcare environment by supporting technology and process changes.
  • Highly organized and able to meet specific time deadlines for projects and tasks.
  • Spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and writing are essential. Candidate must be proficient in a variety of styles, from creative to professional to technical to education and more.
  • Ability to empathize with others and demonstrate a values-based work style is required.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related area required.
  • Must have advanced computer skills including working knowledge of office software and cloud services.
  • Must possess excellent listening and interpersonal skills and problem-solving methods.
  • Training in Microsoft office, business communications, and event organizing.
  • Experience in brand promotion, administrative duties, business social media, and business event organization required.
