Market Analyst – Renewable Energy

We are seeking a Renewable Energy Market Analyst who will support the Power Marketing and Origination team to market the power proposed energy projects and enter into power purchase or hedge agreements.

As a Renewable Energy Market Analyst, you will research energy markets, analyze data, write proposals, and review contracts.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and support marketing presentations to customers.
• Gather and analyze comprehensive data on consumers, competitors, and market conditions to inform offtake strategies.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and origination strategies.
• Conduct monitoring and forecasting of power price trends in various US energy markets.
• Support the viability of offtake projects by optimizing revenues and mitigating risks.
• Contribute to market strategy development, planning, and execution in alignment with the overall strategy.
• Translate complex data and findings into easily understandable tables, graphs, and written reports, and present results to management.
• Review offtake contracts and provide support during negotiations.
• Develop and create tools for collecting and analyzing market data using statistical software.

Requirements:

• Have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience, with preference given to candidates with previous positions in the energy industry.
• Display initiative and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Hold a bachelor's or master's degree.
• Possess strong math, data analytics, and financial analysis skills.
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and the ability to conduct precise data analysis.
